Strategic Plan

The Board of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation undertook its first structured strategic planning process in 2016.   That plan covered 2017 to 2019 and focused on 5 areas:

  • Collaborative Impact Project
  • Board Development
  • Awareness and Communication
  • Fundraising and Asset Development
  • Staff Development

The Strategic Plan was approved by the Board on May 24, 2017.  Progress reports were made to the Board at its meetings in July 2017, September 2017, March 2018, November 2018, May 2019, and, finally, May 2020.

In preparation for its 30th year, the Community Foundation worked with Susan Decker to create a new strategic plan for the next 5 to 7 years.  In late 2021, the Community Foundation’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan was announced with the primary three pillars:

  • Community Convener and Leadership Catalyst
  • Charitable Steward
  • Partner to Nonprofits
