The purpose of the Carol M. Starkey Kochell Scholarship Fund is to provide two post-secondary educational scholarship(s), $1,000 or more each, for graduates of West Vigo High School.  One scholarship shall be payable to any accredited four-year institution of higher education for the benefit of any individuals actively pursuing a degree with teaching credentials.  The second scholarship shall be payable to any accredited vocational institution for the benefit of any individual actively pursuing an Associate’s Degree or Vocational Certificate. The scholarships may be renewed for an additional 3 years for the four-year educational institution or an additional 1 year for the vocational scholarship if the recipients remain full time students and maintain a 2.5 grade point average.

Eligibility requires that:

• You are a graduate of West Vigo High School.
• You are attending a four-year institution of higher learning and actively pursuing a degree with teaching credentials, or:
• You are attending a vocational school seeking either an Associate Degree or a Vocational Certificate.
