Bernard C. Hoilman Scholarship Fund

Bernard C. Hoilman was born in Merom, Indiana on December 26, 1919. After graduating from Merom High School, he attended Indiana State Normal School. A semester before he was due to graduate, he was drafted into the Army to serve in World War II. During the war, he received electronics and radar training. This training led to him pursuing and eventually obtaining an electrical engineering degree at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.     

Eligibility requires that:

  • You are a Sullivan County Resident with preference given to those who live in Merom.
  • You have been accepted or are enrolled at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, pursuing a degree in mathematics, chemistry, physics, or engineering.
