Guys Who Give Gift CODA with $7,350!

If you were unable to make the meeting last night, here is a recap of the 3rd quarter meeting:

  • First, we heard from member Robert McMahan who brought in guest  Candace Cherry from a newer nonprofit Kids N More who asked for funds to go towards a facility for their organization to hold events.
  • Next, Terry Tevlin introduced Dorothy Drummond who spoke on behalf of United Campus Ministries asking for funding to go towards a new HVAC system and upkeep for their historical building to continue their missions.
  • Last, John Moats spoke on behalf of the Council on Domestic Abuse (CODA), explaining that their shelter has doubled in size, the # of people they serve has doubled, and all of their state and federal grants are reimbursed, so they must have capital in place first.

After a short period of deliberation…the guys voted to fund, CODA!
